چکیده

Comparative analysis (CA) of dynamical systems is an important problem in qualitative reasoning. CA techniques predict differences in the behavior of two systems as a consequence of differences in the initial conditions or structural differences. A disadvantage of these techniques is the imprecision of the possible answers due to their qualitative nature. This report presents SQCA, an implemented technique for the semi-quantitative comparative analysis of dynamical systems. SQCA is both able to deal with incompletely specified models and make precise predictions by exploiting numerical information in the form of interval bounds on variable values and envelope functions around monotonic relations. The technique has a solid mathematical foundation which facilitates proofs of correctness and convergence properties.

Dynamic Analysis of Multi-Directional Functionally Graded Panels and Comparative Modeling by ANN

In this paper dynamic analysis of multi-directional functionally graded panel is studied using a semi-analytical numerical method entitled the state-space based differential method (SSDQM) and comparative behavior modeling by artificial neural network (ANN) for different parameters. A semi-analytical approach which makes use the three-dimensional elastic theory and assuming the material propert...

Semi-supervised LC/MS alignment for differential proteomics

MOTIVATION Mass spectrometry (MS) combined with high-performance liquid chromatography (LC) has received considerable attention for high-throughput analysis of proteomes. Isotopic labeling techniques such as ICAT [5,6] have been successfully applied to derive differential quantitative information for two protein samples, however at the price of significantly increased complexity of the experime...

Semi-quantitative segmental perfusion scoring in myocardial perfusion SPECT: visual vs. automated analysis

Introduction: It is recommended that the physician apply at least a semi-quantitative segmental scoring system in myocardial perfusion SPECT.  We aimed to assess the agreement between automated semi-quantitative analysis using QPS (quantitative Perfusion SPECT) software and visual approach for calculation of summed stress  score (SSS), summed rest score (SRS) and summed difference score (SDS). ...
